Fabric Mgmt - Team Leader

DEPARTMENT: FabricJOB TITLE: Fabric Team LeaderFLSA STATUS: Non-ExemptREPORTS TO: Manufacturing Team LeaderHours: 6pm -6amShift: Sunday - Tuesday, every other SaturdaySUMMARY:Plans, assigns and supervises the work of associates engaged in a variety of operations. Reviews production schedules, material and manpower resources. Maintains workplace safety and the quality of work; meets production schedules, and trains, or assures training is carried out. Keeps necessary records, develops and presents reports and other documentation. Works to instructions, specifications and procedures, both written and verbal. Acts to maintain the integrity of processes and products. Performs related and additional duties as required.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:The ability to understand complex written and verbal instructionsThe ability to read and interpret complex documentationLeadership of associatesResponsible for a Team of between 9-35 associatesResponsible to key in production data for single production orders and/or end-of-shift productionTime and attendance for associatesAnnual performance ReviewsReview scheduling and adjust if neededMonitor production lines to ensure that product is made to the highest qualityDisciplinary action with associates as needed about company policyManage time off, i.e., vacation, personal timeManage overtime coverage for opposite shifts and up to shifts within the departmentEnforce/educate safety with the TeamCommunicate with the facilities department in the event of a breakdown within the departmentExperience in the operation of high-volume manufacturing equipment and the use of common hand toolsOther duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONS:Experience in nonwovensOperator training programsMechanical or electrical aptitudeExperience with fiber blending, carding, needle punch, winding, slitting, etc.Hands-on doerFork Truck experienceLean manufacturing experienceISO knowledgeTRAINING:Lock-out Tag-outBasic hazardous communicationPPEOn the job safety reviewPHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:Continuous standingFrequent walkingFrequent pushing/pullingFrequent upper extremity use
