Part Time Assistant – Human Resources

Position Details:The Part-Time Human Resources Assistant provides administrative support to the Human Resources department with a focus on data entry, records management, and employee support. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate and confidential employee information using the college’s ERP system (Jenzabar EX) and customer service. This position must be detail-oriented, organized, and able to interact professionally with faculty, staff, and visitors while maintaining professionalism, confidentiality, and a strong commitment to radical hospitality.Responsibilities: Effective use of the ERP Jenzabar EX system for data entryExtensive fillingAnswering phones and assisting employeesSecond point of contact for visitors in the officeAssist with regular HR reports, such as employee headcount, leave tracking, and compliance metricsRespond to general HR inquiries from staff and faculty in a timely and professional mannerSupport the gathering and analysis of HR data for institutional reports, audits, and accreditation reviewsAssist with the employment processParticipate in the development or revision of HR forms and templatesAssist with onboarding and offboarding process for new and departing employeesMaintain digital and paper records of employee data, including personnel files and digital updatesOrganization and maintenance of employee filesPrepare employment verifications, letters, and standard HR correspondenceAssist with employee training programs and tracking employee evaluationsAssist the follow up on mandatory training completionPerform data entry, filing, scanning, and other clerical tasks as neededGreet employees and other office visitorsOther duties, as assigned.Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or coursework in HR, business, or related field preferredCustomer service & handling phone calls experienceAbility to think logically, make decisions and solve problemsStrong organizational, analytical skills and attention to detailAbility to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgmentData entry skills, spreadsheet, and word processing proficiencyWritten and verbal communication skillsMust be able to work in a typical office environmentExperience working as an Administrative Assistant Supervisory Responsibilities: 0 Full-Time Direct Reports 0 Part-Time Direct ReportsPhysical Demands and Work Environment: Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.No or very limited physical effort required; however, the employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.No or very limited exposure to physical risk.Safety:  Provide resources for safe operation of units.
