Construction Manager

We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager with a strong background in power generation and capital projects. In this contract role, you will support night shift operations at a major generation facility in Rome, Georgia, overseeing construction activities across multiple projects in various stages of development and execution. You will ensure work is delivered safely, efficiently, and in alignment with the Owner’s objectives, while supporting coordination, contractor oversight, and schedule adherence across the site.This position will be based on-site in Rome, Georgia.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee construction activities across multiple projects, ensuring safe and efficient execution aligned with project objectivesMonitor and communicate schedule adherence, identify risks or delays, and coordinate mitigation and recovery actions with project teamsProvide on-site coordination and contractor oversight, ensuring compliance with scope, quality, and operational requirementsCollaborate with engineering, construction, and project management teams to support successful project executionReview technical documentation (civil, mechanical, electrical, controls) to ensure proper implementation of scopeLead construction management efforts for assigned projects, ensuring alignment with Owner expectationsSupport Quality Control processes and ensure adherence to project standards and specificationsProactively review project requirements, identify gaps, and seek clarification to ensure contractor understandingSolicit and support change order proposals as requiredAssist with planning and execution of projects within the capital project pipelineQualifications10+ years of experience in Construction Management, preferably within power generation or utility infrastructureExperience supporting generation projects including combined cycle, simple cycle, and/or hydroelectric facilitiesStrong ability to read and interpret technical documents across multiple disciplines (civil, mechanical, electrical, controls)Proven experience overseeing contractors and managing on-site construction activitiesDemonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environmentStrong understanding of construction execution, quality control, and project coordinationExcellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work cross-functionallyPreferredExperience supporting hydroelectric, combined cycle, or other utility-scale generation projectsFamiliarity with capital project planning and execution processesPrior experience working with utilities, owner’s teams, or EPC/EPCM contractorsExperience supporting night shift or continuous operations environments
