Sales Merchandising Representative - Intern

Part time position JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES• Ensure displays are set to plan-o-grams• Check and report product voids• Maintain ad hoc merchandising• Manage inventory levels minimizing out of stocks and dump• Execute all sales programs, POP (point of purchase) materials, and work to maximize sales in each store• Set new stores and perform required resets• Manage in-store customer fulfillment programs to include scan-based trading and web based ordering• Travel to customer store locations as required within a specific geographical area• Assist with customer service issues or complaints• Complete pricing surveys as required• Perform other duties as assigned• Report any food safety and food quality related issues to management immediately• The requirements herein are intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by employee,EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE• High school diploma or equivalent preferred• 2 to 4 years of retail, customer service, or related experience• Certification and/or License - may be required during course of employmentKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES• Excellent customer service skills• Able to interact positively and work effectively with others (interpersonal skills)• Able to organize time, energy, and resources effectively to achieve goals (i.e., organizational skills)• Able to follow directions and carry out instructions• Able to work with accuracy and detail oriented• Able to adapt and manage to change effectively• Able to handle challenging or conflict situations with tact and professionalism• Must be able to read, write and speak English
