Registered Nurse - Wound Care

The Certified Wound, Ostomy and Continence Nurse (CWOCN) is responsible to the assigned supervisor for planning, coordinating, providing, and evaluating care for groups of patients and organizational improvement in the area of skin, wound, ostomy and continence care.Responsibilities include:Leadership in evaluation of clinical practice, enhancement of staff knowledge, development of patient education and clinical support to area managers, physicians and other clinical staff administration.The CWOCN demonstrates clinical skills of a registered nurse at the same grade and is self-directed with exemplary interpersonal skills.The CWOCN must hold certifications in all three areas or a certification that holds all three areas.
