Irrigation Technician

Landscape Irrigation TechnicianRotolo Consultants, Inc.Irrigation Technician is responsible for repairing and maintaining commercial irrigation systems to designated landscaped areas to maintain or improve the condition of the plant materials or turf.Monitor targeted areas for potential and existing problemsWork independently or with others under little or no supervisionMaintain current, accurate records of products used, problems encountered, or other information essential to the jobLift and carry items weighing in excuses of 50 lbsMaintain and safely operate various equipmentCommunicate well with others and follow both written and verbal instructionsMust have a willingness to work long hours and a varying scheduleMust be willing to work outdoors under varying environmental conditionsInstalling systems and ensuring that they function efficientlyRepairing and maintaining valves, tracing electrical components, installing and initializing clocks and timers, locating existing zones and valves and performing pump repairsAdhering to Company's safety policy and ensuring that the public will be safe while in contact with crewsEnsuring that customers are satisfied completely through effective communication, relationship building and regular site visitsReporting results to Irrigation ManagerQualifications:High school degree or GED requiredAt least one year experience or a minimum of a two-year degree in a related fieldMinimum of 2 years of experience working with commercial irrigation systemsStrong work ethicEffective oral and written communication skillsAbility to prioritize and multi-task and work in a fast-paced environmentExperience with customer serviceIrrigation certification a plusKnowledge of two-wire systemsMust have offense free valid driver licenseCompensation & Benefits:$24.00 - $33.00 per hour or salaried equivalent based on experience and licenses/certificationsWe offer a wide range of benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401K, and more!
