Job Title: Material Handler ManagerDepartment: Supply ChainReports to: Regional Raw Material ManagerFLSA Status: Regular-ExemptLocation: Hancock, MDPOSITION SUMMARYHires, coaches, reviews, trains and oversees the control ops, and cycle counters across multiple sitesReceive, organize, and track all consumable inventoryManages all aspects of purchase request and closing out received goods in SAPEnsures the Open Order report is maintainedCoordinates with Site Administrators, Control ops supervisors, to ensure proper coverage at each siteMaintain a clean and safe work area/equipment and update supplies as neededKEY RESPONSIBILITIESManage the receiving and processing of material orders daily, including accepting deliveries, labeling them and distributing packages and letters internallySAP/Inventory System tracking and updatingKeep records of goods that have been received, preparing regular inventory reports for the site managerWork with planning and scheduling to maintain minimum/maximum inventory thresholds for daily-use items. Alert Site leadership when items drop below set levelsOversees, organizes and coordinates monthly, quarterly, and annual inventory processesCoaching/Training/Mentoring control ops, and cycle counters across multiple sitesEstablish and maintain procedures and supervise physical inventoriesSupervise, evaluate, and coach staff membersAbility to collaborate with other managers to determine supply needs, purchase supplies and materials according to specifications and coordinate and supervise receiving proceduresInterfaces with coordinators on planning and forecasting to meet the needs of market demandEnsures that the company standard practices and procedures are followed in connection with all materials department functionsADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTSExcellent communication skills and attention to detailEffective time management and ability to multi-task successfullyAbility to work in a fast-paced, changing and challenging environmentAbility to operate heavy machinery. (Fork Lifts, tractors, etc..)Must be a minimum of 21 years of ageMust be and remain compliant with any and all legal or company regulations for working in the cannabis industryMust be able to pass a comprehensive background checkMust have availability for weekend shift(s) and on-callPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to perform grasping, carrying, sitting, and repetitive motionsMust be able to lift, carry, and balance up to 50 pounds, manage stairs, and perform typical activities associated with the handling facility equipmentCompensation commensurate with experience. A comprehensive benefits package including paid time off is offered with this position.
