Job Title: Senior Java EngineerLocation: Westlake, TXInterview Mode: F2F (In-Person)Role OverviewWe are seeking a Senior Java Engineer to play a critical role in evolving and stabilizing a high-impact Case Authorization and Data Reconciliation platform within a leading financial services organization.This role goes beyond traditional backend development—you will act as an engineering owner, driving business-critical logic, improving system reliability, and partnering closely with stakeholders to deliver scalable, production-grade solutions.Key Responsibilities● Own and enhance the Case Authorization platform, enabling intelligent prioritization of business workflows● Design and implement robust backend services using Java and modern frameworks● Collaborate with Data Engineering teams to ensure end-to-end data consistency from APIs to downstream systems● Build and maintain reconciliation logic to validate data accuracy across systems● Analyze and optimize performance bottlenecks in existing services and integrations● Develop reliable integrations with REST APIs and external data sources● Implement production-grade error handling, logging, and observability frameworks● Partner directly with business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions● Contribute to system design, architecture decisions, and best practicesRequired Skills & Experience● Strong hands-on experience in Java (8+/11+/17+) and backend development● Expertise in Spring Boot / Spring Framework for building scalable microservices● Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs● Solid understanding of distributed systems and system design principles● Experience working with data-intensive applications and backend services supporting data pipelines● Strong debugging and performance tuning skills in production environments● Familiarity with SQL/NoSQL databases● Experience with error handling, monitoring, and logging frameworks● Ability to work in cross-functional teams and communicate with business stakeholdersWhat We’re Looking For● Ownership mindset: Ability to take ambiguous requirements and drive them to completion● Production maturity: Experience building systems that scale and handle real-world edge cases● Problem-solving ability: Strong analytical skills to diagnose and resolve complex issues● Business acumen: Ability to understand and translate business needs into technical solutions● Consultative approach: Comfortable working directly with stakeholders and influencing decisions● Or tailor this JD specifically for US hiring / visa / salary bandsThe InRhythm ConsultantAt InRhythm, we are more than technical executors.
