Graduate Assistant Care Team

OVERVIEW JOB TITLE: Graduate Assistant Care TeamLOCATION: Center for Well-Being, St. PaulPAY RATE: $16.50HOURS: 15-20 Hours a week The Center for Well-Being (CWB) and Dean of Students (DOS) office at the University of St. Thomas seeks to hire one graduate student to assist with Care Team for 15-20 hours a week from Mid-August 2026 to May 2027. This position will support the collaborative work of the University of St. Thomas Care Team, a multidisciplinary group that assists students by coordinating supportive outreach and resource connection. This position works closely with staff in the CWB and DOS to help monitor student concerns, coordinate follow-up support, and assist with processes that promote student well-being, safety, and success. Essential Functions Assist the Care Team with tracking, reviewing, and documenting student referrals and support follow-up outreach to students when appropriate. Support coordination of Care Team meetings, including preparing agendas, maintaining confidential documentation, and tracking action steps. Assist with case coordination and follow-up, helping connect students connect with appropriate campus resources such as counseling services, wellness coaching, disability resources, academic support, or other services, including possible involvement in CWB Mental Health Triage as needed and as experience allows. Support students participating in the Minnesota Fostering Independence Higher Education Grant Program (FIHE) by assisting with outreach, coordination, and connection to campus and community resources to promote student success and retention. Collaborate with staff to support students experiencing academic, personal, behavioral, or mental health concerns. Help monitor and maintain Care Team data systems and documentation. Assist the DOS Emergency Grant Program by helping review student applications, tracking requests, maintaining confidential documentation, and supporting communication and follow-up with students to connect them with additional campus resources when appropriate. Assist with campus outreach and education efforts related to student support, including helping develop informational materials or presentations about the Care Team referral process. Support assessment and reporting efforts related to Care Team activities and student support initiatives. Provide general administrative and operational support for Care Team processes. Other duties as assigned. Preference for students enrolled in Graduate Social Work, Counseling, or Leadership in Student Affairs. QUALIFICATIONS Interest in student support, behavioral intervention, case management, or campus well-being initiatives. Availability to attend Care Team Thursdays from 2pm-3:30pm Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion. Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to collaborate with multiple campus partners. Demonstrated ability to work with students from diverse backgrounds and experiences. Preferred qualifications include experience in student affairs, counseling, case management, crisis response, or higher education administration. ELIGIBILITY To be eligible for student employment, St. Thomas students must be degree seeking at the undergraduate, graduate and doctoral levels.
