Electrical Field Inspection & Testing Engineer
Location: Dallas, TX (Remote)
Join Kinectrics as an Electrical Inspection & Compliance Engineer supporting power generation, substations, and transmission systems across Texas. This role blends electrical inspections, regulatory compliance, and field testing/commissioning support across U.S. projects.
This is a remote position, for someone ideally located in Dallas/Ft. Worth or Houston, and open to heavy travel (50-60%), primarily within the state of TX.

Key Responsibilities
Perform electrical inspections of renewable plants, substations, and transmission assets
Lead and execute compliance audits (ERCOT / Weather Emergency Preparedness / regulatory standards)
Identify non-compliance risks, equipment deficiencies, and improvement opportunities
Develop technical reports and track corrective actions
Support electrical testing & commissioning (cable testing, grounding, field diagnostics)
Coordinate multi-site field activities and collaborate with cross-functional teams
Interface with clients and stakeholders, providing clear project updates
Qualifications
Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience in power systems)
7+ years in power generation, transmission, or substation environments
Strong knowledge of power system equipment, testing, and maintenance practices
Ability to read electrical drawings and technical documents
Excellent communication and reporting skills
Preferred
Experience with compliance inspections, audits, or NERC/ERCOT standards
Background in electrical testing, commissioning, or diagnostics
Location & Travel
Based in Texas
Travel required (regional & U.S., including overnight)
