Maintenance Mechanic II (Experience Required)
Job Description:The Maintenance Technician position requires a skilled maintenance technician to inspect, troubleshoot and repair a variety of packaging equipment, conveyor systems, robotics, AVG’s (Automated Guided Vehicles), and minor facility items. An in-depth knowledge of electrical systems, troubleshooting and repairs is required. Will follow corporate and site-specific Good Manufacturing Practices and report noncompliance when observed. In addition, the candidate will observe all company safety rules and assist in enforcement as appropriate.Responsibilities:Ensuring the compliance of all corporate policies and the Occupational Safety and health administration rules (OSHA) while conducting work functions. Regular inspection, troubleshooting and repairs of electrical and mechanical production equipment throughout the facility. Detecting malfunctions and defects in electrical and mechanical systems on all automation equipment. Maintaining a record of service cycles and other maintenance activities conducted. Efficiently managing time and completing all tasks assigned by the supervisory authority. Reporting damage, defects and other issues pertaining to electrical and mechanical units to the supervising manager. Documenting spare and replacement parts required and completing all necessary documentation for the same. Appropriately using and handling all electrical repair and testing tools and equipment. Follow corporate and site-specific Good Manufacturing Practices and report noncompliance when observed. Observe all company safety rules and assist in enforcement as appropriate. Proficient with working with and troubleshooting AC and DC voltagesPLC’s, HMI’s, and AC/DC Drive knowledgeAbility to work independently and in a team environmentAbility to perform Preventative Maintenance tasks and services. Automation experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills required, along with basic computer proficiency and the ability to navigate digital systemsAbility to operate a forklift. Be able to follow oral or written instructionsTeam mindsetAbility to establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships. High School Diploma or GED; or equivalent combination of experience and educationAbility to stand, walk, bend, extend, reach, and twist for long periods of time.
