Join our National Science Foundation (NSF) Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) program in Visual Computing and gain hands-on experience working on cutting-edge technologies that capture the essence of reality in modeling material appearances.Program OverviewThis 10-week immersive summer program pairs students with faculty mentors and research teams working at the forefront of visual computing. Interns will work on cutting-edge research projects in visual computing under the mentorship of a faculty member. Responsibilities include conducting research and analysis in visual computing, collaborating with team members, and contributing to the development of innovative solutions. Interns will present findings and participate in academic discussions, gaining hands-on experience in a dynamic research environment.QualificationsAbility to demonstrate proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++ and PythonStrong understanding of computer science fundamentals and digital signal processing Experience with computer graphics, image processing, or related fields is preferredEffective communication skills for presenting research findings and collaborating with a teamStrong problem-solving skills and a passion for research and innovationEnrollment in an undergraduate program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related fieldPrevious research experience or coursework in visual computing is a plusEligibility to participate in an NSF REU program (e.g., undergraduate student status and U.S. citizenship or permanent residency)
