Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and toileting.
- Administer medications as prescribed by physicians, under the supervision of a licensed nurse.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any abnormalities to the nurse or physician.
- Utilize patient service skills to ensure residents receive individualized care and support.
- Assist with the use of DME systems and equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized environment, adhering to facility policies and standards.
- Provide urgent care as needed, utilizing basic life support skills when necessary.
- Assist with lifting and transferring patients, ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of patients' medical conditions, including pediatric cases, and utilize this knowledge to provide effective care.
Experience
- Previous experience in long-term care or a similar healthcare setting is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with nursing practices and principles is essential.
- Basic life support certification is required.
- Experience with medication administration and DME systems is an asset.
- Experience working with patients in urgent care settings is beneficial.
- Ability to lift and transfer patients safely and efficiently.
Skills
- Knowledge of pediatrics and pediatric medical conditions.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
