This role focuses on designing, automating, and operating secure, scalable network infrastructure across multiple AWS environments while supporting FedRAMP compliance requirements.You will partner with Platform, Security, and CI/CD teams to deliver highly available, auditable, and automated cloud networking solutions.How will you contribute?You’ll help build and secure cloud infrastructure in highly regulated environments, working on mission-critical platforms with a strong focus on automation, reliability, and security.What will you bring?Network Architecture & Cloud DesignDesign and implement secure, scalable AWS network architecturesArchitect hybrid cloud connectivity solutions between on-premises and AWSDesign high-availability and disaster recovery network architecturesDefine multi-tenant isolation, routing boundaries, and segmentation strategiesCreate and maintain network and architecture diagramsInfrastructure Automation & OrchestrationDevelop and maintain Terraform-based infrastructure for AWS networking resourcesOrchestrate and automate end-to-end infrastructure provisioning across multiple environmentsDesign and maintain reusable, environment-aware Terraform modulesImplement promotion workflows for infrastructure changes across environmentsEnsure consistency, traceability, and auditability of infrastructure changesIdentify and remediate configuration drift across environmentsSecurity, Compliance & FedRAMP SupportSupport network designs aligned with FedRAMP and NIST 800-53 requirementsImplement and review network security controls including NACLs and Security GroupsPartner with Security and GRC teams to support audits and compliance activitiesAssist in investigating and resolving security incidents involving network systemsMaintain documentation required for regulated environmentsPerformance, Monitoring & ReliabilityOptimize AWS network performance, resiliency, and availabilityDesign and implement network monitoring and alerting using DataDog, Prometheus, and AWS-native toolsParticipate in troubleshooting and root cause analysis of complex network issuesParticipate in on-call rotation and operational supportCollaboration & Technical LeadershipAct as a networking subject matter expert across Platform and Infrastructure teamsContribute to architecture reviews, standards, and best practicesMentor junior engineers and provide technical guidanceMaintain runbooks, SOPs, and operational documentationPreferred QualificationsHands-on experience operating or delivering FedRAMP Moderate or High environmentsAWS Advanced Networking – Specialty certificationExperience with Kubernetes and service mesh networking (Istio, Envoy)Familiarity with zero-trust networking modelsExperience supporting multi-account AWS organizations or hybrid-cloud environmentsRequired QualificationsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)8+ years of experience in cloud or platform engineering, with a strong focus on AWS networkingKnowledge of supporting FedRAMP-compliant environments, including familiarity with compliance controls, audit processes, and security documentationAdvanced understanding of AWS networking services (VPCs, subnets, routing, Transit Gateway, Route 53, Direct Connect, VPNs)Extensive experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as CodeProven experience orchestrating and automating infrastructure provisioning across multiple environments (dev, staging, production)Experience integrating infrastructure provisioning into CI/CD pipelinesProficiency in Python, Go, or JavaStrong Linux and networking fundamentalsExcellent system design, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skillsWhat do we offer?Healthcare insurance: We provide medical, dental, and vision insurance, and a flexible spending account that allows you to set aside pre-tax dollars to pay for eligible out-of-pocket expenses.Stock options.Personal time off: A healthy work-life balance is critical to your success at the office.
