The district values innovative teaching practices and leadership development opportunities.Role DescriptionThis is a full-time, on-site position for a JROTC Army Instructor located in Plano, TX. The role involves delivering instruction in leadership, military science, and character development as part of the Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (JROTC) program. Responsibilities include training students in Army values, leading classroom and practical instruction, mentoring cadets, managing program activities, and cultivating a disciplined and respectful learning environment. Mentor and coach cadets across multiple leadership levels, building skills in communication, decision-making, teamwork, and accountability. Plan and execute a wide range of program activities including leadership labs, physical training, community service projects, ceremonies, and competitive team events (drill, raider, physical fitness, academic, and STEM-based competitions).QualificationsExperience in Training and Teaching with the ability to develop and deliver engaging instructional content.Ability to execute after school teams along with weekend drill meets.Exceptional leadership, communication, and mentorship capabilities to guide and inspire cadet development.Dedication to fostering discipline, teamwork, and accountability among students.A certified JROTC Army Instructor by the U.S. Army Cadet Command or eligibility to obtain certification.Bachelor’s degree preferred.Strong organizational and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, school staff, and community partners.
