SSRS Developer

Job Title: Database Engineer (SSRS / SQL)Location: Remote (EST Hours)Schedule: Standard Business Hours (EST)Type: Contract (3–6 Months)Job OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Database Engineers with strong reporting expertise to support a large-scale reporting initiative. This role is heavily focused on SSRS report development, modernizing and converting existing reports to new data structures, and supporting both MSSQL and MySQL databases within a Microsoft-centric environment.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, convert, and maintain SSRS reportsRewrite and optimize existing reports to align with updated data modelsDesign, develop, and maintain MSSQL and MySQL database objectsBuild and support ETL/SSIS processes for data integration and movementQuery and analyze large datasets for reporting and business insightsOptimize stored procedures and enhance overall database performanceSupport API-driven integrations and data synchronization effortsCollaborate cross-functionally with data, operations, HR, and web development teamsTechnical EnvironmentTech Stack: Microsoft & Open Source (e.g., .NET, Linux, MySQL)Tools: MSSQL, MySQL, SSRS, SSIS, ETL pipelines, APIsTeam Structure: Data Engineering and Development teamsCross-Functional Collaboration: Operations, Service Desk, HR systems, and Web teamsQualificationsStrong proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server and MySQLAdvanced experience with SSRS report developmentExperience converting reports to new schemas or data modelsHands-on experience with SSIS and ETL design/maintenanceStrong database performance tuning and optimization skillsExperience working with large datasets (CRM or donor systems preferred)Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environmentMust be able to pass a background and drug screening
