Welcome to Hytrol CareersOverviewThe Director of Supply Chain reports to the Vice President of Supply Chain and Enterprise Improvement and is responsible for the strategic leadership and operational oversight of all supply chain functions, including procurement, planning, inventory management, logistics, and supplier development. This position partners with internal stakeholders across the organization to align supply chain initiatives with business objectives, ensure continuity of supply, and drive performance improvements. The Director will play a critical role in developing scalable systems and processes to support organizational growth and operational efficiency.In addition, the Director will contribute to broader enterprise improvement efforts by advancing operational standardization, enabling cross-functional alignment, and delivering measurable supply chain outcomes that support company-wide goals.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute the supply chain strategy to support corporate goals related to cost, quality, service, and risk mitigationLead cross-functional initiatives to optimize supply chain operations and enhance collaboration across departmentsIdentify and respond to internal and external trends impacting supply chain performanceOversee sourcing strategy and execution for all direct and indirect materialsLead supplier selection, contract negotiation, and supplier performance managementDevelop and maintain strong supplier relationships to support quality, delivery, and innovation targetsEnsure adherence to ethical sourcing and regulatory complianceDirect demand planning and inventory management processes to ensure accurate forecasts and optimized inventory levelsEstablish and monitor stocking strategies and service level targets.Partner with production and commercial teams to align supply plans with business demandMonitor and report on inventory turnover, obsolescence, and fulfillment performanceChampion the use of ERP and supply chain systems to enable real-time visibility and data-driven decision-makingEpicor experience preferredLead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean or Six Sigma principlesDefine and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) for procurement, planning, and logisticsCollaborate with IT and Finance to implement system enhancements and process automationLead, coach, and develop a high-performing supply chain teamEstablish clear goals, monitor performance, and support professional developmentPromote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvementQualificationsAPICS, Six Sigma, or other supply chain certification preferredMinimum of 8-10 years of progressive supply chain leadership experience in a manufacturing or OEM environmentDemonstrated success leading multifunctional supply chain teams and delivering measurable improvementsStrong background in supplier relationship management, strategic sourcing, and contract negotiationsExperience with ERP systems (Epicor preferred) and advanced proficiency in Excel and BI tools (e.g., Power BI)EducationA bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business, Engineering, or a related field is required; a master's degree or MBA is preferred.
