Additionally, the role requires a willingness and ability to spend extended periods working on-site at customer locations as needed to support successful project delivery.For this role, the project manager must be local to Raleigh, Charlotte, or Greensboro, North Carolina, and be able to travel within the designated area to service customer projects in the North Carolina territory.As a Project Manager, you will lead or support the end-to-end delivery of large, integrated laboratory service projects. This is a hands-on role that requires active engagement at customer sites across North Carolina and North America, working closely with internal teams, external partners, and clients to deliver high-quality solutions.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the sales process by contributing to solution design and development for customer projectsManage and help execute large, multi-functional, and multi-vendor service projects, including:Laboratory relocationsAsset management programsFacility inventoriesOther CrossLab service solutionsAssist in developing and maintaining project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource requirementsCoordinate with customers to define project requirements and implement tailored solutionsSupport pricing and proposal development for customized project workEnsure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with customer expectationsBuild and maintain strong relationships with customers, internal teams, and third-party vendorsLead meetings, track progress, and maintain clear and accurate project documentationActively participate in on-site project delivery activitiesQualificationsRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in a scientific or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience8+ years of relevant professional experience, including at least:5+ years of customer-facing field project managementExperience applying project management methodologies (formal training or equivalent experience)Strong written and verbal communication skillsExperience working directly with external customersExperience using data tools or reporting systems to analyze and present informationAbility and willingness to travel up to 50% or more, depending on project needsPreferred QualificationsPMP certificationExperience in laboratory environments, instrument service, or equipment maintenanceFamiliarity with GMP and/or GLP environmentsPharmaceutical or life sciences industry experienceExperience managing project budgets, including quotes, purchase orders, and invoice reconciliationExperience working with third-party service providersLean Six Sigma certification or trainingProficiency with:Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, SharePoint)Project and data tools (MS Project, Smartsheet, Visio, SAP, Maximo, or similar systems)This job has a full time weekly schedule. The full-time equivalent pay range for this position is $116,800.00 - $182,500.00/yr plus eligibility for bonus, stock and benefits. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
