Job Title: Sterile Processing Technician (SPT) Job Type: Contract Location: Sonora, CA 95370 Contract Length: 8 Weeks with Possibility of Extension Shift: 3x12 days 07:00am - 07:00pm Pay Rate: $1,260/ week Job Summary Join one of California's leading healthcare organizations as a Sterile Processing Technician (SPT) at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. In this role, you will play a critical part in supporting surgical services by ensuring medical instruments and equipment are properly cleaned, disinfected, assembled, sterilized, and ready for patient care. Your attention to detail and commitment to infection prevention will help maintain the highest standards of safety and efficiency in a fast-paced acute care environment. Responsibilities Decontaminate, inspect, assemble, sterilize, and distribute surgical instruments and trays. Perform high-level disinfection (HLD) and operate washers and sterilizers. Prepare case carts and ensure instruments are available for scheduled procedures. Monitor and document sterilization processes using biological and chemical indicators. Process specialty instruments for ENT, Orthopedics, OB/GYN, Plastics, Urology, and General Surgery. Maintain accurate equipment documentation and comply with infection control standards. Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure timely instrument availability.disease management, medication administration, and post-discharge instructions Requirements: Minimum 2 years of Sterile Processing Technician experience Active CBSPD or HSPA (IAHCSMM) certification Experience in an acute care hospital operating room setting Proficient in instrument decontamination, sterilization, tray assembly, and case cart preparation Strong knowledge of steam sterilization testing, biological and chemical indicators Pay: $1,260.00 per week Benefits: Referral program Experience: Sterile Processing: 2 years (Required) Work Location: In person
