Accountabilities:Maintain complete documentation of cardiovascular proceduresParticipate in in-services, continuing education, and workshops to remain abreast of new procedures and current technologies.Accountable for the maintenance of quality control in all areas of the labProvide a secure and safe environment for patients and staff maintaining constant awareness of safety hazardsAssistance with new staff orientation within the departmentAct as a role model within the department serving as a resource person for all clinical activitiesAssisting in the development of new operating proceduresPosition Requirements:Requires 2 or more years cardiac Cath lab experience.Demonstrated proficiency in PTCA with an AAS in RTR. or a minimum of 5 years' experience as RTR preferred.Minimum of 12 CEU hours per year.This position will need to recognize the needs and behaviors of a variety of age groups of patients treated, i.e., normal patterns of adolescent behavior and look for signs of normal aging prior experience with various age groups is preferred.Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.Ability to anticipate patient and unit needs.The ability to function in a high stress environment, lift andmove heavy patients and equipment, stand for long periods of time, wearing lead apron (approx. 18 lbs.).Current License in the state of IL as a RTACLSNo Call required. No weekends or holidays.
