This role combines deep technical expertise with leadership, guiding teams to solve challenging problems at scale. Your success is measured by system reliability, engineering quality, delivery outcomes, and the growth of engineer's you mentor.What You Will Be DoingLead architecture and design of scalable, secure, high‑availability software solutionsTranslate business requirements into technical strategies and executable roadmapsDrive hands‑on development of production‑grade code using modern engineering practicesMentor and coach engineers, setting standards for code quality and engineering excellencePartner with product, quality, and operations teams to deliver end‑to‑end solutionsEnsure solutions meet performance, security, compliance, and resiliency expectationsGuide adoption of modern tools, frameworks, and cloud‑native patternsReview designs and code, proactively identifying risks and improvement opportunitiesSupport production systems through root cause analysis and continuous improvementRequired QualificationsAdvanced proficiency in one or more modern programming languagesDemonstrated experience designing distributed, scalable software systemsStrong knowledge of software architecture, data structures, and design patternsExperience leading technical teams or serving as a technical authorityExpertise with automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practicesSolid understanding of secure coding practices and system reliability principlesAbility to communicate complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholdersBachelor’s degree in computer science or a skills‑based equivalentPreferred QualificationsExperience with cloud platforms and cloud‑native architecturesKnowledge of financial services, payments, banking, or regulatory environmentsExperience with containerization, orchestration, and microservicesExposure to data‑intensive systems, messaging, or event‑driven architecturesBackground in performance optimization and large‑scale system tuningWhat We Offer YouAt FIS, you can grow your career as far as you want to take it.
