Unarmed Guard (Curaleaf)Salary Range $16.00 Hourly DescriptionBeyond Security (Security Alliance) is seeking highly skilled and qualified Unarmed Security Officers to provide professional security services at the Curaleaf dispensary in Mount Dora. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety of employees, customers, and company assets while fostering a secure and welcoming environment. Key Responsibilities: Access Control:Monitor and control entry points to ensure that only authorized individuals have access to the facility. Patrolling:Conduct regular interior and exterior patrols to identify potential security risks and irregularities. Incident Response:Respond promptly and professionally to emergencies, disturbances, and other incidents. Customer Interaction:Maintain a courteous and professional demeanor with staff, clients, and visitors. Monitoring Systems:Operate surveillance systems and alarm equipment to ensure site security. Compliance Enforcement:Enforce compliance with company policies and state laws. Report Writing:Document daily activity, incidents, and any unusual occurrences with accuracy and detail. Collaboration:Coordinate effectively with dispensary staff, law enforcement, and emergency services when necessary. QualificationsMandatory Qualifications: Must be at least 21 years of age. High school diploma or GED equivalent. Valid Florida Class "D" Security License. Ability to pass a background check and drug screening. Professional appearance and demeanor. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to stand and patrol for extended periods. Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience in security, preferably at a warehouse, dispensary, or high-value facility. Familiarity with cannabis industry regulations. CPR/First Aid certification. Training in conflict resolution or de-escalation techniques. Skills and Competencies: High level of situational awareness and attention to detail. Calm and effective under pressure. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Problem-solving and decision-making ability. Dependable, with a strong work ethic. Work Environment: Duties involve indoor and outdoor patrols, sometimes in adverse weather. Frequent standing, walking, and light physical activity are required.
