Accountant

Bambuza Hospitality Group is a rapidly growing restaurant chain with locations in Portland, OR, Seattle, WA, and Orange County, CA and expanding to Salt Lake City Utah in October. We are currently seeking an Accountant to join our team in our corporate office in Portland, Oregon. In this pivotal role, you will play a crucial role in assisting the CFO with a range of financial tasks. This position requires a meticulous professional with strong analytical skills, an eye for detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting, and will be adept at working collaboratively in a dynamic environment. You will be responsible for responsible for managing supplier invoicing and outbound payments, monitor and record sales, and ensure all financial models, records, and related materials are kept up-to-date and stored safely Responsibilities: Create and manage financial statements and dashboards Reviewing invoices and financial records to ensure they accurately represent the business's transactions Process invoices from vendors, verify their authenticity and approve and settle payment Verify entries and compare system reports to balances Preparing analyses of accounts and producing monthly reports Continuously improve our payment process Assist with budgeting and forecasting Create and file all necessary tax forms for the company Assist with annual review with external CPA firm Prepare balance sheets and account reconciliations Collaborate with the CFO to develop financial records and models for the company Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent experience 2-5 years of years of accounting experience, preferably with restaurant experience Proficiency in accounting software and bookkeeping programs .NetSuite preferred but not required Minimum of two years experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or financial modeling Strong financial acumen and understanding of corporate finance principles Proficiency in financial report interpretation and writing Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills We invite you to take the next step in your career and join our dedicated and driven team.
