RS Upholstery Tech II
Aircraft Interior Upholstery Technician High School Diploma or GED required Minimum 2 years of experience using: Commercial sewing machines Sergers Hand tools used in upholstery and carpet trades Aerospace industry experience preferred Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings Basic math and measuring skills required Computer literacy required Must be able to: Climb ladders and stairs Work in confined spaces Lift up to 40 lbs Work any shift Strong English communication skills (read, write, and speak) Fabricate and install aircraft interior upholstery and panels Cut, sew, and install carpets, curtains, and covers Work with leather, vinyl, fabric, composites, and adhesives Use sewing equipment, hand tools, and power tools Follow aircraft specifications and engineering drawings Track materials and complete work sign-offs in the system Maintain safety, housekeeping, and 5S standards Support process improvement and Lean Manufacturing initiatives
