We are seeking a Journeyman Software Developer to join our team in Dahlgren, VA , supporting the Joint Warfare Analysis Center (JWAC) . This role offers the chance to work on high-visibility projects that directly support national defense objectives. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain robust data-driven applications using relational and non-relational databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB). Design, develop, and maintain backend services using C#, .NET, .NET Core, Web API, MVC, and LINQ . Implement CI/CD pipelines using GitLab to streamline deployments and maintain code quality. Develop and deploy containerized applications using Docker and manage orchestration with Kubernetes . Apply foundational software engineering best practices to support mission-critical solutions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable, and maintainable systems. Minimum Qualifications 2+ years of experience in software development. Hands-on experience with C#, Python, or Java and object-oriented programming principles. Experience with version control systems and CI/CD tools (GitLab preferred). Knowledge of application containerization (Docker, Kubernetes). Understanding of programming fundamentals and software architecture patterns. HS Diploma or GED required. Ability to obtain a DoD 8570 IAT II Certification (Security+ or equivalent) within 30 days of hire. Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active or eligible Top Secret/SCI clearance . Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Experience with SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB . Scripting experience with PowerShell or Python .
