Senior GL Accountant

Senior GL AccountantOur client in Broward County is seeking a strong, detail-oriented Senior GL Accountant to join a dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate brings solid hands-on general ledger experience, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is comfortable working with large data sets and complex reconciliations. SAP experience is required. This role requires a self-starter who can collaborate effectively across multiple teams and take ownership of assigned responsibilities.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and post journal entries during month-end close, including fixed assets, prepaid expenses, intercompany transactions, accruals, and adjustmentsPerform heavy balance sheet reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepancies in a timely mannerManage and reconcile intercompany transactions, including intercompany inventory purchasesPost and reconcile Sales and Use Tax entriesAssist with Accounts Receivable postings as neededResearch and support refund analysis and resolutionCollaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze and explain variancesSupport preparation of monthly financial reporting and management deliverablesAssist with audit support by preparing schedules and supporting documentationParticipate in special projects and ad-hoc accounting initiativesRequired Qualifications4+ years of hands-on General Ledger accounting experienceStrong working knowledge of debits and credits and core accounting principlesProven experience with fixed assets, prepaid expenses, and intercompany accountingExperience posting Sales and Use TaxExperience performing intercompany reconciliations, including inventory-related transactionsAdvanced Excel skills, including manipulation of large data sets, pivot tables, and pivot chartsExperience working within SAP is requiredBachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
