COMLUX AMERICA LLC is an EEO Employer - M/F/Disability/Protected Veteran Status JOB DESCRIPTIONENGINEER INTERN (Mechanical or Electrical)POSITION SUMMARY:The engineer intern supportsdesign, documentation, and installation tasks on Transport Category Aircraftfor the installation of VIP interiors. The intern will be responsible forcreating design data in support of mechanical systems modifications to aircraft.Intern will work under the guidance of experienced engineers. Intern willprovide support to manufacturing teams working on aircraft at the Comluxfacility.EXAMPLES OF ESSENTIAL JOBFUNCTIONS:• Creates and updates designsfor interior completions in accordance with aircraft manufacturer guidelinesand engineering best practices.• Interfaces with structural,mechanical systems, interior, avionics and electrical design engineers toensure certifiable designs in support of Interior Modification STC's for LargeTransport Category Aircraft (14 CFR Part 25)MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS,EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, LICENSES, ETC:• Pursuit of BS degree inMechanical, Electrical, or Aeronautical Engineering required• Regular attendance isrequired per agreed-upon schedule accommodating coursework.• Must have a positiveattitude.• Must be well groomed andmaintain a professional appearance.• Must be legally authorizedto work in the country in which the position is located.• Must possess and maintain avalid driver License and a record that meets Comlux insurance standards.• Must pass background check.REQUIRED SKILLS ANDABILITIES:• Ability to document designand installation clearly and concisely.• Proficient with thefollowing software:o Microsoft Word, Excel,PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet Explorero AutoCADo SolidWorks• Ability to interact withwide range of customer groups, both internal and external• Ability to communicatetechnical issues in an assertive and tactful manner.• Excellent oral and writtenskills, as well as strong analytical abilities• Results oriented.• Ability to work in teamenvironment.• Ability to prioritizeworkload.WORK ENVIRONMENT:The work environmentdescribed here is representative of those required by an employee to performthe essential functions of this job with or without reasonable accommodations.• Normal office environment• The noise level is usuallyquiet; at times a Hangar environment.ORGANIZATIONALSTRUCTURE:Reports to: Group Lead,Mechanical Systems EngineeringManages: N/ACareer Path: MechanicalSystems Design Engineering positionThe above statements areintended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed bypeople assigned to this job.
