In this role, you will oversee daily scale operations, ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards, and drive consistency in processes that support an exceptional customer experience.This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys developing teams, and is passionate about continuous improvement and operational excellence.Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Team ManagementOversee a multi‑site team of 15–20 scale operators, ensuring consistent performance and operational alignment across Salem, Eugene, and remote locations in Hood River and Roseburg.Provide ongoing coaching, mentorship, and performance feedbackPromote a strong culture of safety, accountability, and customer service excellenceSupport change management initiatives and implement new processes as neededOperations & ComplianceOversee daily scale operations, ensuring accuracy of inbound/outbound transactionsInvestigate and troubleshoot system or process discrepancies to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.Review weighmaster tickets and certifications for accuracy, legal compliance, and data integrityEnsure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements, including MSHA standardsDevelop, implement, and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs)Customer Experience & CoordinationEnsure a consistent, professional customer experience at all scale and POS locationsCollaborate cross-functionally with operations, sales, transportation, and safety teamsSupport customer interactions, including walk-in traffic, phone calls, and issue resolutionCoordinate with yard personnel and equipment operators to ensure efficient loading operationsFinancial & Reporting ResponsibilitiesOversee cash handling and reconciliation processes at all point-of-sale locationsMonitor and audit transaction data to maintain accuracy and accountabilityPrepare and distribute operational reports to leadershipMaintain accurate records, including tickets, order documentation, and compliance logsQualificationsEducation & ExperienceHigh school diploma or GED preferredPrevious leadership experience in construction materials, aggregates, trucking, or a related industry strongly preferredSkills & CompetenciesStrong leadership and team development skillsSafety-first mindset with a commitment to complianceExcellent customer service and communication skillsHigh attention to detail and ability to make sound decisionsProficiency with computers and basic business systemsAbility to work independently and manage multiple prioritiesStrong collaboration skills across diverse teams and functionsWillingness to work overtime and travel between sites as neededWhat We OfferMedical, Dental, Vision, and Prescription CoverageGenerous Paid Time Off10 Paid Holidays (8 fixed, 2 floating)401(k) with 5% Company Match + Potential Profit SharingTuition Reimbursement & Professional DevelopmentEmployee Assistance ProgramCompany-Paid Life InsuranceShort- & Long-Term Disability CoverageEmployee Referral ProgramDiscounts on Travel, Retail, Automotive, and MoreOpportunities for Career Growth and Internal MobilityCommunity Engagement OpportunitiesWork EnvironmentOffice setting primarily; however, the incumbent of this role will be required to travel to scale houses which are located on mine sites and expose the employee to noise and dust.This position is largely sedentary; however, caution needs to be taken when lifting files, boxes, opening file cabinet drawers.To avoid injuries to hands, back, and neck, proper ergonomics should be maintained while working at desk/workstation.Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time.The statements included in this job description are not intended to be all-inclusive.
