Registered Nurse IR - Mooresville, North Carolina

A contract opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse with Interventional Radiology expertise to provide patient-centered care in a high-acuity environment. This position offers consistent 8-hour day shifts from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with a contract duration of approximately 13 weeks. Located in Mooresville, NC, this role supports a busy radiology department that manages 50-60 patients daily through work-up and recovery processes.The healthcare facility is a large, Magnet-designated teaching hospital with Level I Trauma status, including specialized centers for chest pain and stroke. This dynamic environment serves adult and pediatric patients from emergency, intensive care, nursing units, and outpatient settings.Key Responsibilities:Deliver safe, compassionate nursing care in interventional radiology procedures.Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, maintaining excellent communication and teamwork.Assist in preparation, monitoring, and recovery of patients undergoing radiologic exams.Utilize department-specific equipment such as EPIC EMR and point-of-care testing devices.Participate in fair call rotations and holiday coverage as scheduled, with no weekend rotations expected.Qualifications and Desired Experience:Active RN license with at least 1 year of clinical experience; first-time travelers are welcome.Certifications in BLS and ACLS are required.Confidence in managing complex clinical situations in fast-paced, high-acuity settings.Strong interpersonal skills and a collegial approach to teamwork.Location Overview: Mooresville, NC, offers an appealing mix of small-town charm and proximity to urban amenities.
