3 days onsite / 2 remoteOffice located in Spring, TXLong term contract with potential to get converted*No C2C or Associate Vendors*Job Capsule/SummaryThe IT Project Manager II will be responsible for assisting with the daily oversight and management of all projects/tickets/tasks and communicate status updates to the IT Program/Portfolio Manager and function within the Project Management Office. Responsible for coordination of a project team and related resources to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget, as well as leading the team in achieving the desired outcomes. The IT Project Manager shall have a strong understanding of ITIL best practices & the SDLC and the use of various agile and waterfall methods to drive project initiatives to completion. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and communicate effectively across the organization. Must be able to lead multiple projects of various size and complexity, effectively and simultaneously.Job Duties/Roles Project Leadership: Provides project planning and coordination, milestone management, scope management, resource forecasting, financial management, and change management across the assigned project. Identify and manage project risks, lead efforts to forecast, track and update project schedules and budgets as well as provide updates on the overall project plan including economics. Responsible for tracking progress, meeting deadlines, and managing scope and resources changes. Monitors the project to ensure maintenance of quality, content, consistency and continuity of work performed. Implement and improve project management tools that directly impact, and drive business decisions related to the project schedule and budget. Coaches, motivates, mentors and directs assigned resources to desired results. Able to collaborate with cross-functional teams and various stakeholders. Able to solve problems that may arise with internal or external stakeholders. Maintains files in an orderly and up-to-date manner in area of responsibility.Relationship Management: Acts as primary liaison between IMS leadership, the project management office, project team, experts, and stakeholders on a project. Stays actively informed concerning technical, business and management developments affecting present and potential customers and communicates this information promptly to the appropriate managers.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities RequiredExpertise with waterfall project management principles and processes.
