Paraprofessional (Non-Instructional) - Bus Attendant - part-time (10 hours / week)

Position Title: Paraprofessional – Bus Ride Support (Part-Time)Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 5:45 a.m. – 8:15 a.m. (approx.)SummaryProvide safe, caring supervision of students during the morning bus ride to school, assisting with boarding, seating, and exiting, and supporting a positive and respectful environment.ResponsibilitiesRide the bus each morning to supervise and assist students. Help students board, seat, and exit safely. Maintain a respectful, orderly atmosphere during transport. Assist the driver with student needs or concerns. Support guidance, pupil services staff, or administration as needed. Perform other related duties as assigned. QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent. Experience working with children preferred. IVPP Fingerprint Clearance Card and valid driver’s license required. Ability to communicate effectively and maintain composure. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse groups. Basic math and computer skills (Word, Excel). Ability to maintain confidentiality. Other RequirementsMay travel between school sites or district offices as needed. Ability to work in indoor and outdoor environments. Able to establish compassionate, supportive relationships with students, including those with special needs.
