As a Data Center Estimator, you will play a critical role in our organization by overseeing the bidding process for data center projects and managing a team of engineers throughout the construction process. Your knowledge of low voltage systems, structured cabling, and telecom infrastructure will be essential in accurately estimating project costs and timelines. You will collaborate with contractors, architects, and project managers to ensure that bids are competitive and aligned with project specifications. Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field experience - BICSI certification preferred - Minimum of 2 years of experience in estimating construction bids for data center projects - Strong knowledge of low voltage systems, structured cabling, and telecom infrastructure - Experience working with general contractors and subcontractors - Excellent communication and leadership skills - Ability to manage a team of engineers and coordinate pre and post construction activities - Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite - Detail-oriented with a strong analytical mindset - Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Responsibilities:
Estimate construction bids for data center projects accurately and efficiently - Collaborate with contractors, architects, and company leadership to align bid specifications - Conduct site visits and inspections to gather information for accurate estimations if necessary - Review and analyze project documents, drawings, and specifications - Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors to obtain competitive pricing for materials and services - Stay current on industry trends and best practices in construction estimating and data center projects.
