You will create a safe, inclusive, and active learning environment that encourages all students to participate, challenge themselves, and build lifelong fitness habits.This role is ideal for educators who are enthusiastic about youth development, athletics, movement education, and fostering positive student relationships.ResponsibilitiesPlan and deliver engaging Physical Education lessons aligned with grade-level learning objectives and student developmental needsTeach a variety of physical activities, including fitness, team sports, movement skills, coordination, and wellness educationFoster an inclusive and supportive classroom culture that emphasizes teamwork, respect, perseverance, and sportsmanshipPromote physical fitness, healthy habits, and active lifestyles among studentsAssess student progress and provide constructive feedback on participation, skill development, and effortEnsure student safety during all physical activities and maintain appropriate supervision standardsOrganize and manage equipment, gym spaces, and outdoor activity areasCollaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student growth and school initiativesMaintain regular communication with parents regarding student progress and participationSupport school events, athletic programs, assemblies, and community activities as needed Preferred Skills & ExperienceExperience teaching in a private school or independent school settingKnowledge of age-appropriate physical development and fitness instructionAbility to differentiate instruction for diverse learning styles and abilitiesCPR/First Aid certification preferredExperience leading school sports, enrichment programs, or extracurricular activities is a plus What We Are Looking For:Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Kinesiology, Education, or a related field from an accredited college or universityTeaching credential or PE certification preferredPrevious teaching or coaching experience with elementary and/or middle school students strongly preferredStrong classroom management and student engagement skillsPassion for youth fitness, athletics, and student wellnessExcellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration abilitiesAbility to pass state and federal background checksPhysical Education teacher to support K-8th grade students.
