This role is heavily client-facing and ideal for someone who enjoys relationship-driven public accounting work rather than a high-pressure corporate environment.ResponsibilitiesReview complex Individual, Partnership, Corporate, Trust & Estate, and Non-Profit tax returnsProvide technical review, feedback, and coaching to staff before finalization of returnsMentor and train junior and senior tax staffManage client relationships and serve as a trusted advisorPerform tax planning and tax researchHandle multi-state tax matters, K-1s, rental properties, brokerage accounts, and related tax issuesOversee engagement workflow and deadlines during tax seasonCollaborate closely with firm leadership on client needs and staff developmentQualifications10+ years of public accounting tax experienceStrong experience reviewing tax returns and supervising staffCPA required preferred (strong EA candidates with stable tenure may also be considered)Experience with:Individual (1040)Partnership (1065)Corporate (1120/1120S)Trust & Estate/Fiduciary returnsStrong communication and client relationship skillsAbility to mentor, train, and develop staffExperience working in a collaborative public accounting environmentLacerte experience is a plusCompensation & Benefits$150,000 – $180,000 base salaryHybrid schedule: 3 days onsite / 2 remotePartner-track opportunityFlexible hours outside tax seasonMedical, dental, and vision coverage401(k) with Roth optionPaid vacation and sick timeStable long-term client baseCollaborative, quality-focused cultureScheduleMonday to FridayApproximately 50 billable hours during tax seasonStandard 40-hour work weeks outside tax seasonThis opportunity is best suited for someone seeking long-term stability, meaningful client relationships, and a collaborative firm culture with strong growth potential.
