Teacher for the Visually Impaired | Acton, Massachusetts

A part-time opportunity is available for a certified Teacher for the Visually Impaired to conduct a one-time evaluation of a K-12 elementary student with visual impairments. This role requires on-site assessment and active participation in an Individualized Education Program (IEP) meeting. The position is based in Acton, MA, and is designed for educators with school-based experience in supporting visually impaired students.Responsibilities:Conduct a comprehensive evaluation for one visually impaired student.Attend and contribute to the IEP meeting to discuss findings and recommendations.Work directly within an inclusion-based elementary classroom setting.Complete all required documentation and comply with onsite protocols.Collaborate effectively with school staff and families to support the student's needs.Qualifications:Active Massachusetts certification/licensure as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired.Proven experience working in K-12 school settings with visually impaired students.Ability to complete assessments and meetings onsite in Acton, MA.Willingness to undergo CORI background check and fingerprinting as required.Strong communication skills, with capability to participate in an initial Zoom interview.Location: Acton, MA Position: Part-Time, Contract, One-time Evaluation Start Date: ASAPThis assignment offers a focused, impactful role supporting a student's educational development through expert evaluation and collaboration.
