Database Admin.Location: Annapolis Junction, MDClearance: FS Poly RequiredOverviewA Database Administrator is needed to support a large, complex, fast-paced, operational program. The selected individual will maintain the integrity, security, and availability of multiple databases. Duties include disaster recovery, performance analysis and tuning, index maintenance, and monitoring of data, as well as administering, maintaining, developing, and implementing policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of the database. The selected individual will evaluate and recommend available database management system products; perform database and software lifecycle activities to ensure the highest level of system performance, availability, and compliance with business requirements; and will organize and format data for efficient query and storage processes.Compensation: DOE (depends on experience)RequirementsMust have at least five (5) years of hands-on, dedicated experience as a database administratorMust have at least five (5) years of hands-on, dedicated experience as an Oracle Database AdministratorMust have in-depth experience implementing and maintaining database securityMust have in-depth experience conducting database performance tuning and monitoringMust have in-depth experience troubleshooting and resolving database problems/issuesMust have experience installing, configuring, and upgrading RDBMS softwareMust have experience with procedural languages such as PL/SQLTS/SCI w/ FSP (FSP must have been conducted in MD) Who We Are... August Schell offers 30 years of experience in providing our customers innovative solutions and engineering services to their most challenging needs.
