Product Management Assistant

The Product Management Assistant (Cake Product Specialist) supports the development and performance of cake, cookie, and dessert products, helping define the company's innovation standards across diverse markets. This role works closely with Product Managers to maintain existing product lines and assist in the development of new offerings. The position requires strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills to coordinate cross-functional teams and ensure timely execution of projects.This is a full-time, seasonal (temporary) position at the clerk level. Employment is expected to begin as soon as possible and continue through the end of November 2026, at which time the assignment will conclude. This position is strictly temporary and does not guarantee continued employment beyond the stated end date.The role is scheduled for five (5) days per week, in-office, with standard working hours of approximately 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM. The position reports directly to the Bread Product Manager.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport Product Managers in maintaining and improving existing productsAssist in the development and launch of new cake and dessert productsCoordinate communication across cross-functional teams (marketing, culinary, operations, etc.)Analyze product performance data and prepare reportsTrack project timelines and ensure deadlines are metExecute assigned tasks including reporting, documentation, and presentationsContribute to product innovation aligned with company standardsPerform additional duties as assigned by managementEducation & ExperienceBachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Food Science, Culinary Arts, or related fieldMinimum of 2 years of progressive experience in product marketing and/or culinary development Required Skills & CompetenciesStrong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneouslyKnowledge of bakery or dessert products; familiarity with brand/product concepts preferredProven ability to meet deadlines and achieve performance targetsProficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint)Strong analytical and business math skillsExcellent communication and teamwork abilitiesDetail-oriented with strong proofreading and accuracy skillsAbility to create and present detailed reports effectivelyProblem-solving mindset in a team-oriented environment This position requires general office work with light physical duty, work indoors and are protected from weather and/or contaminants, but not, necessarily, occasional temperature changes. The employee is regularly required to sit and often uses repetitive hand motions. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms and may lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, with occasional standing and walking.
