Facilities Technician I
Position SummaryThe Facilities Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing facility systems and equipment to support daily operations within a cosmetic manufacturing and production environment. This role ensures compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards (including GMP), while minimizing downtime and supporting efficient production workflows.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform routine maintenance and repairs on facility systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and compressed air systemsTroubleshoot and resolve equipment and building-related issues in a timely manner to avoid production disruptionsConduct preventive maintenance (PM) according to established schedules and document all activitiesSupport manufacturing and packaging areas by ensuring facility systems are operating at optimal performanceMaintain cleanroom environments and assist with environmental monitoring as neededCoordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and inspectionsEnsure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), OSHA safety standards, and company policiesRespond to emergency maintenance requests and participate in on-call rotation if requiredMaintain accurate maintenance logs, work orders, and inventory of spare parts and suppliesAssist with facility upgrades, equipment installations, and continuous improvement initiativesQualificationsEducation & Experience:High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or trade school preferred2+ years of facilities maintenance experience, preferably in cosmetics, pharmaceutical, or food manufacturing environmentsSkills & Knowledge:Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, and general building maintenanceExperience working in GMP-regulated environments highly preferredAbility to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprintsStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsEqual Opportunity Employer / Disabled / Protected VeteransThe Know Your Rights poster is available here:https://www.eeoc.gov/sites/default/files/2023-06/22-088_EEOC_KnowYourRights6.12.pdfThe pay transparency policy is available here:https://www.dol.gov/sites/dolgov/files/ofccp/pdf/pay-transp_%20English_formattedESQA508c.pdfFor temporary assignments lasting 13 weeks or longer, AppleOne is pleased to offer major medical, dental, vision, 401k and any statutory sick pay where required.We are committed to working with and providing reasonable accommodations to individuals with disabilities.
