The team partners cross-functionally to build territory strategies, educate manufacturing leaders, and grow pipeline through disciplined outreach and consultative selling.About the role:As an Automation Sales Manager, you will drive revenue growth and market expansion across your assigned territory. You will develop and execute a territory plan, build deep knowledge of the local manufacturing landscape, and establish trusted relationships with key customers and partners.You will evaluate customer requirements for automation projects, collaborate with Engineering and Solutions to develop concepts, and negotiate pricing and commercial terms with end users. This is an individual contributor role responsible for owning growth in the territory.If you're motivated to deliver real customer impact while accelerating your career and earnings, we want to meet you!In this role you will:Own and execute a regional territory strategy to drive pipeline growth and revenue attainmentGenerate and qualify new business opportunities within SMB and mid-market manufacturing accountsLead consultative discovery conversations and on-site visits with manufacturing decision makersDevelop tailored automation solutions in partnership with Solutions and Engineering teamsAdvance opportunities through the full sales cycle from prospecting to contract executionBuild and maintain executive-level relationships across plant, operations, and ownership stakeholdersRepresent Formic at industry events and trade shows to expand market presenceMaintain accurate CRM data, pipeline coverage, and forecast visibilityAnalyze regional manufacturing trends, competitor activity, and buyer dynamics to refine territory strategyWhat makes you a great fit:Proven success in full-cycle B2B sales with consistent revenue attainmentExperience owning and growing a geographic territory independentlyDemonstrated ability to build pipeline proactively in new or under-penetrated marketsStrong understanding of manufacturing operations and industrial buying processesAbility to navigate multi-stakeholder buying committees and technical decision makersAnalytical mindset with the ability to quantify value and communicate ROI clearlyProficiency in Salesforce or comparable CRM systemsWillingness and ability to travel up to approximately 75% within your assigned regionComfort operating in a fast-growth environment with evolving processes and prioritiesOur Total Rewards:At Formic, we believe people do their best work when they feel supported both professionally and personally.
