Job Title: Principal Software ArchitectLocation: Remote (United States)Employment Type: Full-TimeAnnual Compensation: 160k - 170kAbout the OpportunityWe are seeking a Software Architect to lead the design and evolution of scalable, secure, and high-performance enterprise applications. This role will define architecture standards, drive technical strategy, mentor engineering teams, and partner with business stakeholders to deliver innovative technology solutions.Key Responsibilities• Define enterprise architecture, technical standards, and best practices.• Lead architecture and design of cloud-native, distributed systems.• Drive cross-functional technical initiatives and architectural governance.• Mentor engineers and support technology decision-making.• Evaluate emerging technologies and build proof-of-concepts.• Ensure application scalability, security, reliability, and performance.• Champion CI/CD, TDD, automated testing, and DevOps practices.Technology Stack• Frontend: React, JavaScript, TypeScript• Backend: Node.js, NestJS, Express.js• Databases: MongoDB, SQL• APIs: GraphQL, REST APIs• Messaging & Caching: Kafka, Redis• Testing: Jest, TDD• Cloud & DevOps: AWSQualifications• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.• 12+ years of software development, architecture, or technical leadership experience.• Strong expertise in React, TypeScript, Node.js, and modern web architectures.• Experience with GraphQL, REST APIs, MongoDB, SQL, Kafka, and Redis.• Deep understanding of distributed systems, cloud platforms, security, and performance optimization.• Proven ability to lead technical initiatives and mentor engineering teams.• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP preferred.
