Plant Manager, Narrow Fabrics
About Us:For over 40 years, Nutex Industries has been a leading manufacturer of specialty narrow fabrics, serving the military, healthcare, and hospitality industries. Our narrow fabric mill employs a dedicated team of 20, and we are seeking an experienced Plant Manager to oversee day-to-day operations and drive our continued growth and excellence in the narrow fabrictextile industry. Job Summary:We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Plant General Manager to manage all aspects of our narrow fabric mill. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in the textile industry, preferably narrow fabrics, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to oversee all aspects of production, from raw material management to shipping. Experience in textile engineering is a plus. The Plant General Manager will report directly to the company owner. He/She will be trained to operate independently over time. Key Responsibilities:•Oversee daily operations of the narrow fabric mill, ensuring efficient production processes.•Manage raw material procurement and inventory control.•Lead production scheduling to meet customer demands and deadlines.•Supervise, train, and develop the mechanics and weavers•Implement and maintain quality control measures to meet industry standards.•Oversee labor management, ensuring compliance with regulations and optimizing workforce efficiency.•Oversee timely and accurate order fulfillment.•Manage shipping and logistics to ensure on-time deliveries.•Develop and implement training programs for staff to enhance their skills and productivity.•Experience in product development and pricing (preferred but not required) Qualifications:•Bachelor’s degree in Textile Engineering (preferred but not required).•Proven experience (5-10 years ) in the textile industry, •Strong technical skills in textile manufacturing processes and machinery.•Experience in raw material management, purchasing, and production scheduling.
