and the job listing Expires on April 12, 2026 Research & Writing Internships for Small Literary Publisher Passager Books, a nonprofit press since 1990 that publishes poetry, short fiction, and creative nonfiction by older writers is looking for interns for a variety of positions. The internship is open to undergraduate and graduate students in any major although an interest in literature, creative writing, and/or journalism would be useful. Position Description: Read and catalog Passager-published poems, stories, and essays by subject and theme. This database is used to select material for Passager's weekly podcast. In addition, the intern could work on other projects, depending on academic or professional interest. These could include Interviewing Passager writers and assisting in editing those interviews into produced audio pieces and print feature articles. Creating promotional material for Passager (e.g., newspaper and magazine articles) and researching places that might publish them. Assist in writing and producing Passager's weekly podcast. Assist in conducting research related to fundraising, grantwriting, and upcoming Passager projects. Internship Location: Passager is based in Baltimore, MD, but interns may work remotely via computer and zoom. Passager's internships are available Fall, Winter, Spring, and Summer terms. Passager will tailor the intern's workload and schedule to their college or university's internship requirements and will work with the school or program's intern coordinator as needed. Passager prefers students who are interning for college credit but will consider students seeking noncredit internships.
