Quality Assurance Technician-Trim Analysis

DescriptionPosition SummaryAnalyze fat samples using the core samples collected on all combos produced. Analyzing will take place in the MeatScan machine and/or MeatMaster. Accurate records need to be kept for each individual combo. Position may also include collecting AQL samples on combos, inspecting for and documenting any defects found.Job Responsibilities:* Perform assigned QA testing or source testing on raw materials and supplies.* Testing shall be accomplished in compliance with local, state federal and company policies and procedures.* Maintain testing equipment in a sanitary condition.* Maintain detailed and accurate records completing all required documentation of laboratory samples and testing.* Maintain detailed and accurate records of inspections of AQL audits* Other duties as assigned.* Must be flexible to work within production hours.## QualificationsJob Requirements:* High School Diploma or GED* Must demonstrate positive attitude, strong work ethic, decisive nature & high level of initiative* Ability to prioritize tasks and ability to work with minimal supervision effectively* Mathematical and problem solving skills* Strong interpersonal & organizational skills* Experience preferred but not necessary, willing to train* Ability to communicate effectively in a diverse workforce and upper management* Must be 18 years of age and authorized to work in the US* Must have the ability to read, write and speak EnglishPhysical Demands:* Ability to lift 50lbs, stand, bend and walk 8-10 hrs. dayWork Environment:* Ability to work in cold or hot environment* Obey safety rules and exercise caution in all work activities.
