*Job Title: Assembler/ Machinist* *Location: Cypress, CA* *Duration: 12 Months Contract* *Job Description:* * Working to machine dimensions and maintain close tolerances and correlated dimensions with a high demand for precision, concentricity, finish and parallelism * Selecting speeds and feeds according to type of material and finish requirements * Utilizing methods used to hold and fixture work through the use of shims, wedges, parallels, blocks, supports, chucks and other holding devices to obtain proper alignment and to avoid moving or breaking of tools and parts * Using a variety of precision measuring instruments, inspecting in process or finished parts to validate above mentioned form and feature characteristics as well as manufacturing methods to blueprint specifications * Ability to lift various items weighing up to approximately 40 pounds, work overtime, and/or any shift as required. * You will perform weekly maintenance on equipment to ensure equipment is safe and reliable. * Follow production plans in order to meet customer requirements with the ability to work individually and as a team player to meet and keep standards. * You will need to be available to work second or third shift depending on business needs. *Key Accountabilities* * High School Diploma or equivalent with 2+ years of machine shop experience including operating mills, lathes, etc. * Basic knowledge of operating precision tools, machining methods and cutting qualities of metals * Perform weekly maintenance on equipment to ensure equipment is safe and reliable. * Ability to work as an individual and as a team player to get the job done and follow production plans in order to meet customer requirements. * Resolve conflicts within the team in the spirit of teamwork in order to ensure high standards of professionalism at all times. * Participate in cost improvements in order to satisfy customer needs. *Basic Requirements:* * High School Diploma or GED * Microsoft Office proficient (Excel/Word). * Experience within an industrial or manufacturing environment. * Detail oriented with strong mechanical aptitude. * Experience with manual and CNC operation on a variety of mills, lathes, grinders and coordinate measuring machines * 2+ years machining experience * Ability to read and understand blueprints * Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook * Trade school technical certificate * Machines/Equipment * Haas CNC vertical machining center * Bridgeport mill * Engine lathe * Surface grinder * Cylindrical grinder * Common bench grinders * Belt sanders * Bandsaw * Tile saw * Ultrasonic parts cleaner *(Machine, Machinist, CNC Lathe, CNC Mill, Haas CNC, Assemble, Assembly, Manufacturing, Calibration, Equipment, Inspect, Inspection, Maintenance, Process Technician, Manufacturing Technician, Production Technician, Operations Technician, Industrial Technician, Maintenance Technician, Preventive maintenance, Equipment maintenance, Machine maintenance, Troubleshooting, Equipment troubleshooting, Machine operation, Manufacturing, Assemble, Assembly, Manufacturing, Calibration, Equipment, Inspect, Inspection, Maintenance, Process Technician, Manufacturing Technician, Production Technician, Operations Technician, Industrial Technician, Maintenance Technician, Preventive maintenance, Equipment maintenance, Machine maintenance, Troubleshooting, Equipment troubleshooting, Machine operation, Manufacturing, Process Technician, Entry-Level Process Technician, Manufacturing Technician, Production Technician, Manufacturing Associate, Production Associate, Manufacturing Operator, Production Operator, Process Operator, Assembly Technician, Industrial Technician, Aerospace Manufacturing, Advanced Manufacturing, Manufacturing, Production, Assembly, Preventive Maintenance, Equipment Maintenance, Mechanical Aptitude, Machine Operation, Industrial Equipment, Manufacturing Processes)* *#REQNon-IT* Job Type: Contract Pay: From $23.96 per hour Ability to Commute: * Cypress, CA 90630 (Required) Work Location: In person
