Repair Technician

As a Repair Technician, you'll be the hands-on expert responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and QC'ing the professional lighting fixture our clients depend on — from touring rigs to permanent installations. If you're passionate about the gear and take pride in getting it right, we want to hear from you.What you'll doInspect, diagnose, and repair professional lighting equipment — static fixtures, moving lights, LED arrays, dimmers, and electronic components.Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical failures quickly and methodically in a fast-paced production environmentMaintain organized work areas, manage parts inventory, and proactively order replacements before stock runs lowPerform strict quality control checks on inbound inventory before put-away/delivery Make sound repair vs. replace calls with an eye toward cost-effectiveness and equipment longevityOperate and maintain tools — calipers, light meters, soldering irons, heat guns, power drills — with care and precisionKeep detailed records of repairs, parts usage, and service historyCommunicate service findings clearly and promptly to team leadsStay current on products, protocols, and control systems through cross-training and self-directed learningWhat you bringHigh school diploma or equivalent required; technical or trade school certification a plus2+ years of hands-on experience in small electronics repair and/or stage, theatrical, concert, or production lightingStrong knowledge of electrical and electronic components; ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manualsFamiliarity with lighting control protocols: DMX, RDM, Art-Net, and sACNComfortable with hand tools, testing equipment, and soldering — with safety always top of mindSelf-directed problem-solver who can manage priorities and deliver under tight deadlinesExperience with major professional lighting brands strongly preferredWorking Conditions:This position reports to our Pompano Beach Headquarters 5-days a week.Warehouse Environment: requires frequent work in an unairconditioned environment.Ability to lift up to 50lbs unassistedTravel: Up to 20% for tradeshows, and high-level on-site installation/service support.Benefits:Paid Time OffPaid Sick TimeShort FridaysHealth, Dental, and VisionPaid Holidays
