Utilizes clinical and managerial expertise to develop, implement and evaluate effective patient care delivery systems for assigned units or services. Accountable for the delivery of quality patient care services, customer satisfaction (including patients, physicians, and employees) and financial results within areas of responsibility. The position encompasses, but is not limited to, area-specific and departmental-wide administration (with system alignment as appropriate) management, collaboration, education and research. Performs a variety of nursing leadership activities within and outside of Prisma Health.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic LeadershipProvides vision and direction for Women’s & Children’s Services aligned with organizational prioritiesLeads service line growth, program development, and market positioning initiativesCollaborates with executive leadership to drive system-level goals and performanceClinical & Operational ExcellenceEnsures high-quality, safe, and evidence-based care across L&D, Postpartum, NICU/Nursery, and PediatricsMonitors and improves key performance indicators including quality, safety, throughput, and patient experienceLeads regulatory readiness and compliance with all applicable standards (e.g., TJC, CMS, state regulations)People Leadership & CultureBuilds and sustains a high-performing leadership team and engaged workforcePromotes a culture of accountability, psychological safety, and professional developmentSupports recruitment, retention, and succession planning effortsFinancial StewardshipDevelops and manages departmental budgets with accountability for productivity and financial performanceIdentifies opportunities for operational efficiency and cost containment while maintaining qualityCollaboration & Physician PartnershipEstablishes strong, collaborative relationships with medical staff and key stakeholdersLeads interdisciplinary efforts to improve outcomes and patient experienceQualificationsRequired:Master’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related fieldCurrent Registered Nurse (RN) license (or eligibility)Progressive leadership experience in Women’s and/or Children’s ServicesDemonstrated experience leading multiple clinical areas (e.g., L&D, NICU, Pediatrics)Strong knowledge of regulatory and accreditation standardsPreferredDoctorate (DNP, PhD, or related field)National certification (e.g., NEA-BC, RNC-OB, CENP, or related)Experience in service line development and growth strategiesKey CompetenciesStrategic thinking and executionClinical excellence and quality improvementFinancial and operational acumenRelationship-building and influenceChange leadership and resilienceWhy Join Our TeamThis is an opportunity to lead a vital, high-impact service line that supports women, children, and families at some of life’s most meaningful moments.
