What To ExpectAs an NVH Quality Technician, you can expect to play a hands-on role in vehicle-level noise, vibration, and harshness validation during production and new program phases. You’ll perform subjective and objective NVH testing using tools like microphones/accelerometers, while supporting root cause analysis for BSR and customer complaints. Your work will directly impact vehicle quality through EOL audits, data reporting, and collaboration with engineering and manufacturing teams to drive corrective actions. You’ll contribute to improving NVH standards and ensuring Tesla vehicles meet rigorous quality benchmarks.What You'll DoPerform vehicle-level NVH testing and validation during production, NPI trials, and quality audits (e.g., EOL, BSR, wind noise, smoke, pressure leak)Conduct real-time subjective and objective assessments of NVH performance (buzz, squeak, rattle, wind noise, structural noise) using standardized procedures and toolsSupport root cause analysis for customer NVH complaints and in-plant non-conformances by performing targeted testing, data collection, and field correlationExecute and document NVH test plans using NVH equipment. Capture and analyze NVH data from vehicle-level tests and compare results across baseline vehicles, NPI trial parts, and production units to identify trends or degradationAssist in developing and validating short- and long-term countermeasures for NVH issues in coordination with engineering and manufacturing teams. Implement and maintain containment plans for NVH-related non-conformances during production and pre-launch phasesPerform EOL audits with focus on NVH performance, correlate test findings with corrective actions and track closure statusCollaborate with cross-functional teams (Design, BIW, Powertrain, Quality, Manufacturing) to communicate NVH findings and support resolution of issues.
