Office Administrative Assistant/Receptionist
Job Summary
We're a small, casual, but usually very busy construction office in Riverside that's looking for someone organized, reliable, and able to handle multiple tasks at once. Must be a quick learner and open to taking on new tasks when needed. The person we hire will have many standard routine duties, but there will also be a lot of back and forth and helping whenever and where ever needed, so we're seeking someone who feels comfortable in that role.
Individual will be responsible for answering phones, filing, computer entry, and general office duties, as well as assisting in all facets of organization, including, assisting with payroll, helping in accounting, maintaining employee and subcontractor information, and project administration. We're hoping to hire someone that can learn new tasks as they go.
Required Skills and Qualifications are as follows:
**Individuals with prior office experience peferred. Previous administrative experience and Construction office experience a plus, but will train the right person.
**Must have strong verbal and written communication skills. Must be good with answering phones, screening for unwanted calls and sales calls, and taking detailed messages. Also, must be comfortable calling people to answer questions or request information, as needed. Office phones are not generally that busy, but we still want a person that's comfortable speaking with people and someone that leaves a good impression.
**Will be expected to do the filing and help keep the office organized.
**Must have accurate computer and typing skills.
**Must know and be very comfortable with Microsoft Office, including writing letters, and making and keeping logs and spreadsheets.
**The person we hire must be able to adapt quickly and learn as they go. Although you'll have certain routine job duties, most will be taught on a day-to-day and as-needed basis, including helping with month, quarter, and year end close, project administration including project start and project close duties, and requesting items needed from suppliers and subcontractors.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
