We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic individual to join our team as a Store Leader.
Job Title: Store Lead
Reports to: Multi-unit Manager
Classification: Hourly Non-Exempt Full Time
Store's Leader Position:
As a Store Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day organization of the store, with a keen eye for maintaining high standards of product excellence and presentation. Leading by example with your highest work ethic will play a vital role in ensuring that our customers have a memorable and enjoyable experience by ensuring the entire team provides top-notch service and upholds our commitment to quality.
Your primary focus will be ensuring that our store operates smoothly and efficiently, emphasizing product quality, customer experience, and store ambiance.
The Multi-Unit Manager and HR Representative oversee the final decisions on scheduling, hiring, termination, and the employee performance process. The Store leader provides input, coaching and recommendations for goal setting, corrective counsel and staffing needs.
Your Responsibilities:
● Seeks to maximize our customer experience by creating a friendly and professional bond with every customer, as well as ensuring every product delivered has the best possible quality with a fast and efficient turnaround time.
● Raw Material weekly ordering.
● Constant Communication with the Scheduling Manager to maintain the same practices such as training, recipes, procedures, bar flow and overall store care.
● Monitors inventory weekly for maximum sales and sell-through.
Financial Results:
● Monitor payroll and expenses to meet the monthly profit and loss targets.
● Recommend and implement operational improvements for improved productivity
Customer Experience:
● The turnaround time of an order is always your main priority.
● Ensures every order will be a faster service and consistently high product quality.
● Ensures that the barista on the register greets every customer immediately in a friendly manner before the customer greets us.
● Attends to customer’s feedback, complaints and finds ways to resolve any situation, making sure the customer is finally satisfied.
Leadership:
● Makes organizational decisions at the store level and notifies the Muli-Unit Manager.
● Implements Barista onboarding and training to develop competency and confidence in team members
● Creates the staffing schedule for submission and approval of the Multi Unit Manager on time and to optimal staffing levels.
● Effectively manages staffing plans and unexpected call-outs.
● Provides ACTIVE COACHING to the team with an eye for continual development and a high level of performance in team members. Addresses poor performance with corrective coaching conversations in a timely manner (“See it, Say it”)
● Identifying unprofessional behaviors and communicating with the HR representative.
● Leads the store with our company’s values and creates the specialty coffee motivation between the team to project the same into our customer’s experience.
● Responsible for shift covering.
● Knowing how to organize your team according to everyone’s strengths for faster service and consistent product quality.
Store Appearance:
● Ensure all cafe areas are clean and tidy (janitorial duties assigned and completed, including dishwashing, mopping, sanitizing bathrooms, food prep stations, plant care, etc.)
● Keep shelves and fridges fully stock and well presented at all times - Keep products on the shelves aligned and organized by date.
● Manage Raw material such as milk by date in order to avoid/reduce unnecessary waste.
● Place weekly Merchandise inventory order. (to be submitted to the warehouse monday before noon )
● Communicates every unexpected store task, repair, or maintenance to the Scheduling Manager in a timely manner and effectively.
● Maintains optimal store appearance, FOH, and BOH.
Requirements and skills
● You are passionate about world-class specialty coffee.
● Impeccable Customer Service.
● 3 years of experience in the food & beverage industry in a leadership role
● Demonstrates the ability to produce high-quality Latte Art in each beverage consistently.
● Possesses expertise in dialing in Espresso and PourOver grinders for a flawless extraction.
● Reliable on every shift and has a strong work ethic.
● Detail oriented
● Problem solver
● Flexible schedule and MUST be able to work Saturdays, Sundays, and Holidays.
● Food Handler card required.
● Must work well with others and take initiative.
● Able to take on closing shifts and successfully finish the task on time.
● Proficient in managing the fast-paced dynamics behind the bar, maintaining a clean and organized workflow while ensuring the delivery of quality drinks with quick turnaround times.
● Excellent communication skills with an emphasis on listening and teaching skills.
● High school diploma or equivalent; relevant training is a plus.
Working Conditions:
● Close proximity to coworkers and customers.
● Exposure to hot liquid and steam.
● Lifting and carrying food and drink trays.
● Standing for long periods.
● Working with brewing and grinding equipment.
