This position supervises maintenance and custodial staff, coordinates district-wide maintenance operations, assists with long-range facilities planning and construction coordination, and oversees inventory, purchasing, and management of maintenance and custodial supplies and equipment.The Director works collaboratively with district administrators, building principals, contractors, and outside agencies to support daily operations and long-term facility needs.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Supervise and evaluate maintenance and custodial staff.Coordinate district-wide maintenance and custodial operations.Assist with facilities planning, construction coordination, and long-range maintenance projects.Oversee preventative maintenance programs for district buildings and equipment.Coordinate work orders, repair requests, and maintenance schedules.Manage inventory and ordering of maintenance and custodial supplies and equipment.Assist with department budgeting, purchasing, and vendor coordination.Conduct regular inspections of district facilities and grounds.Coordinate and monitor contracted maintenance and repair services.Ensure district facilities are safe, clean, functional, and well maintained.Respond to facility emergencies and urgent maintenance needs.Maintain effective communication with administrators, staff, contractors, and the public.Perform other duties as assignedOnly minimum duties are listed.
